Hello!
Is anyone aware of configurations or Marketplace apps that can allow Confluence pages to be treated like an inbound reference (or similar concept) to an Asset object?
This is the opposite scenario to the recently released EAP/Beta for displaying assets on a Confluence page. Instead of showing assets on a Confluence page, the thought would be to display Confluence page links on an asset object. This could enable some different scenarios:

For some extra context, other ITSM tools seem to have this functionality:

I am also interested in this. :)

Hi Atlassian community!
You can now link a Confluence page to a Jira Asset! To do this, you'll need to create a new attribute and set its type to a URL. This allows you to link not only to Confluence pages but also to other knowledge base platforms, such as SharePoint, and more.

I'm also very interested in this. This is the biggest shortcoming I'm finding with JSM Assets.

@Wood, Jeremy Atlassian Support provided a partial solution to linking asset objects with Confluence pages via automation, but it wasn't quite what we're looking for. I've discussed this with a Product Manager for the Assets platform, and they seemed interested in the use case. I plan to follow-up in person at Team '25. Fingers crossed!

@william.huber "success" is a strong word; I'm thinking more like "progress". :-)
We were able to reiterate the need with the PM and our Atlassian account team. We are also exploring feasibility for custom-developed solutions if the native functionality ends up landing too far out on the roadmap.

@william.huber there's also an upcoming AMA: Change Management in Jira Service Management. I added this question to the top of the list.

Hi @Christine . Thank you for taking the time to record the Loom video.
Unfortunately, this solution won't work for us as it's an entirely manual process. At enterprise scale, this kind of effort wouldn't be sustainable.
We'll continue to advocate for native functionality in the platform to somehow allow for more automated linking / management of knowledge articles to asset objects.
