Jira assets people picker not working the same as on Jira automation
We currently have Jira automation that uses a custom text field filled out with the users email address to then populate a custom people picker field as shown in the image.
When trying to do something similar with Jira asset API the only one that works with Atlassian ID. (not preferred since this will take a lot more automation to search for each one.)
I have tried Email address as I expected it to work like in Jira.
I have also tried username.
All come back with an error messaged that the users are unable to be found.
Is this something that will be added as this puts a huge limitation on using Jira Assets?
