Hi,

I have a Jira Service Management project on one Organization that I want to move to a new organization.

I have set-up the project on the new Organization and I wish I know if I can copy the issues from the old organisation to the new one.

Is there a method to do this?

I mean, can I use the Export issues feature and then Import CSV one?

would that work?

thanks!

Alex

Hi and Welcome,

Hi Alex,

Yes, you can move issues from one Jira Service Management project in an organization to another by using the export and import features.

Step 1: Export Issues from the Old Organization

Step 2: Prepare the CSV File

Step 3: Import Issues into the New Organization

Field Mapping: Ensure that all required fields in the new project are filled in the CSV. If there are custom fields in the new project, you will need to map them correctly during the import process.

Permissions: Make sure you have the necessary permissions in both organizations to export and import issues.

Attachments and Comments: The CSV import does not support attachments or comments. If you need to transfer these, you may have to do it manually or use a third-party tool.
