Jira Portal - Status

Tessa Wiggin _Bynx_

We have a Request Type of Change Dev&QA, that we create internally on Jira but do not allow our clients to create themselves on the external portal.

We add the customers as Requested Participants so that they can see the progress of the work, and when the item is released it is updated to Completed.

Previously this was still visible to the requested participants, but recently this has stopped being visible and we are unsure as to why.

Can anyone advise why this is and how we will be able to ensure this is still visible to our external customers.

I wonder if the Customer space access was set from Open to Restricted. You can check this by going to Space Settings > Customer access and see what is set for the space (either open or restricted).

If it is restricted, that means the users have to be manually added in space settings as customers; meanwhile, open means that as long as they are portal-only users or have the Customer role if they have an Atlassian account, they automatically get access.

Please let us know what you find!
