I have created two request types in Jira:
All mandatory fields are enforced on the Gate 1 Sprint form, but for Gate 3, the mandatory fields are not appearing as required in the portal view.
Could you please help me resolve this issue?
Are you using request type, with an advanced form?
If an advanced form is used, check the required checkbox on each field, used in the form.
If you are just using a request type without a form, mandatory fields can be set required on using the > icon and check the box required for that field.
Can you show screenshots on both your Request Types?
Hi @Marc -Devoteam- ,
Yes, I am using a request type with an advanced form attached. However, when submitting the form through the portal, the mandatory fields are not being enforced and the form can be submitted without filling them in.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
On the form you have field, on selecting a field in the details of the field (right side), there is a "Validation" option.
This has a single checkbos option "Response required", check this box for a field that needs to be required on the form.
So for each field that you want to have required, this box has to be checked.

Did you compare your request type forms? Are those mandatory fields system or custom field types? If they are custom field, are they linked with a Jira field?

Within your form, are the fields even shown in the request type or is it hidden?
