Within JSM, under my Project then in "Organizations", I'm limited to only "text" detail types and the responding field is restricted to 255 characters.
Will the detail fields be updated to support all custom fields, like what exists for request types? The feature you are currently looking at is pretty new. At the moment, there is only basic field support but Atlassian is constantly improving on features in JSM.
Next in line of upcoming features there will be improvements in fields and also new field types. You can read the full announcement here.
