Hello everyone,
I am wondering if there is a way to refresh a JSM Cloud Sandbox with Live environment data?
It would be good if our Sandbox was a like for like so we could complete some testing of automation that users are wanting.
If there are some steps that I could follow to complete this, that would be great.
Thanks.
Just a heads-up from my recent experience — I may have done something wrong, but if you're using Jira and you did a sandbox refresh previously on this, make sure to refresh your sandbox together with JSM, not separately. Otherwise, you risk creating duplicate workflows, custom fields, screens, schemes, etc., which can be a pain to clean up.
A few key things to keep in mind:
Automations won't be copied during the refresh.
You can export them via Settings > Global Automation.
After importing, they will be disabled by default.
You'll need to enable each one manually and update the rule scope from Global to Single Project if needed.
Official guide: Copy production data to sandbox
Important: The sandbox refresh overwrites all existing data, so if you have any unfinished workflows or automations:
Take screenshots
Or create them in production but keep them disabled until you're ready
Hi Joshua!
Adding on to Nikola's answer, be aware that this might not get you entirely what you expect.
There are some things that are not copied to the Sandbox, Assets, automation rules ... being to major things! For a complete overview of what will be copied and what not, please refer to this:

Welcome @Joshua Stokes
There sure is. In your Sanbox option, click on the three dots of your sandbox and choose Copy production data. This will copy the production without affecting any data.
