We have multiple approvers for any given ticket. If the ticket gets approved (or declined) and a different approver tries to approve it through their email, they get an error message. Is there a way to show a different message so they know whats going on instead of thinking the process is broken?
I've found this ticket, asking more or less the same thing but the answer doesn't seem very helpful. [JSDCLOUD-11045] Approving an already approved request gives an error message - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.
Via the customer portal the users could login and under the request option should be able to to find the issue.
Or you could create an automation that sends an email to all other possible approvers or add a comment on the ticket when an approval is given
The approvers are mostly just looking at the approval email they are sent. They click approve on the email and it gives them an error they dont understand. Is there a way to change the message they receive when they click the approve button in an email?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
So you might want to get them more involved to the system.
There is currently no option to change the change the error message.
You could use the feedback option from the help menu to provide feedback on Atlassian to this.
Or use the suggestion I gave on creating an automation rule to sent an email once an issue is approved, to hte approves of that message.
