Is there a way to set the global search to only search my active space? I'm in IT and I help to facilitate numerous projects that I'm not active in, but when I search I only want to search the space that I actively work out of. I have to constantly filter to my space every single time that I search. Ideally, I'd like for it to search my space only, and then I have the option to adjust the filter to search all.
Also, I notice that "Reporter" is not a default filter field drop-down at the top, which would be super helpful as I use that field the most. I have to click More filters and then type reporter and then select the field, many clicks!!! But yet there is a Type field drop-down to filter, and Assignee field to filter, and a Status field to filter, which I never use when I'm searching. If I use the Rovo search it doesn't even list the Reporter field to filter by, unless I select one of the products, which is also more clicks!!!
You can see this as an annoyance, but in my opinion this is personal
Searching gives back results from spaces you have permission on, a PO might work with multiple teams and would completely disagree, as they need to find work from multiple spaces.
You can save your search as filters and re-use these to find your specific requirements.
This is why there is an option to create filters..
Also get more knowledge on searching, alos see JQL searching instead of using only basic functionality.

I shouldn't have to research to be able to do a basic search. They're assuming what I want but it doesn't work for what I need. And at this point I already have too many saved filters, I would need to use the search to filter my filters lol.

Hi @Jennifer Bader I agree with you this new search has many annoyances. Regarding setting it to default search a specific Space, it doesn't appear to support that functionality, at least not that I've seen. I did notice I can set it to filter by Jira Space, and sometimes it remembers that filter the next time I search. That behavior is inconsistent, and I haven't been able to reliably reproduce it, so I'm guessing it's caused by some backend cache/refresh mechanism. If you haven't already, I suggest adding your feedback to the comments of the announcement post, and maybe to some of the feature requests linked in that post.
