Is that a way to turn on or off a automation rule via API or via another automation?

Is that a way to turn on or off a automation rule via API or via another automation?

I need to turn off a rule after midnight, i know i can do this setting a scheddule search, and that is the right way to do this.

But i really want to know if thats possible because this could help me in the future in some other automation.

Automations doesn't have an API, so your only option would be to use the scheduled trigger.
