Is it possible to use a script listener to create a group whenever a space is created in Cloud?

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to source a script that will allow me to automate the creation of a group when a new space is created. Does anyone know if there is a script out there or have any advice on how I could implement it.

Hi @Cami Jara 

I believe you will be able to achieve that by using a third-party app, ScriptRunner for Confluence. By looking at their documentation:

• They have a listener for the event "space created"
• Then, you can write code to call a Jira rest API to create a new group and add users to group (if needed)

Hi Marini,

I have tried to do this but have been told that connect apps which ScriptRunner is cannot connect to the REST resource needed to create a group. Do you know anything about this?
