Is Snipe-IT for Jira still a valid Asset Management solution for JSM - Cloud

Hi there,

I am desperate to find an Asset Management solution that will take the current data we have and bring into Jira to use.  Our current soon to be replaced ITSM solution has a full CMDB solution we use for Hardware and Software tracking (with some manual adding to the data) and I need the same sort of functionality / reporting etc in JSM.

Insight for JSM Cloud seems to be missing all the main features we need (AD / Jira user integration, the templates, reporting, dashboard widgets etc etc)

I am hoping that Snipe-IT may be the solution we need (if we can import into it) or there may be another ITAM / CMDB solution people are happy with that works / integrates with JSM.

Hi @Steven Lees-Smith , i'm not sure what you mean by being a valid option. Looking, at the marketplace it is clearly still available. Whether it meets your requirements or not I think only you can answer that by reading the documentation or ideally trialing the add-on.

Thanks for the reply.  I was flicking around some other posts and saw people with some sync issues and saw that Atlassian were not managing the app anymore I 'thought' I read they handed support over to a third party so wasn't sure if it was still an adopted solution even though it is still in the market place.  

We are not on JSM yet so all of my hunting around is just based on what I can read and find comment about.
