Hi, when I try to invite users to https://lletter.atlassian.net/ with an email that ends in letter.net (xxxx@lletter.net) for example, verification emails never arrive in their respective inboxes. It worked for my lletter.net email, but the other emails I have tried have all failed to send.
Hi Christopher,
I understand that you are trying to invite users to your Atlassian Cloud site, but these users are not receiving these emails.
I can see from Atlassian's side that there are 3 different users invited, but each returned a bounce message of:
550: 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist.
Please try 550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for
typos or 550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at 550 5.1.1
https://support.google.com/mail/?p=NoSuch... - gsmtp
which I believe directs to this help page https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6596?p=NoSuchUser That particular error would tend to be generated if you tried to invite a user account before the email inbox was setup.
Are you using Google suite to manage email for this domain? If so then I would also expect that the DNS MX records for that domain would be setup in accordance with https://support.google.com/a/answer/140034?hl=en The records I can currently see for that domain appear to be using a forwarder domain instead. This might be a factor in the email not being delivered to that domain as expected.
I have removed all the entries from our side in case you want to try again. But if this problem reoccurs right away, I suspect that you will need to make sure that these accounts exist on that domain first, and then check the DNS settings next.
I hope this helps.
Andy
Hi Andy,
I attempted to send the invites again after verifying that the emails would not bounce, and it has worked great. Thanks for the help.
Chris
