Implementing PTO (Paid Time Off) in Jira Without Marketplace Apps

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking for a way to manage or account for PTO (Paid Time Off) within Jira, specifically without using any third-party or marketplace apps. The goal is to handle scenarios like approver unavailability, ticket reassignment, or workflow continuity when a user is on leave.

Hello @gollapudi sidhvi 

• Approval step setup would be useful here - you specify this on your workflow status 
• If one approver is not available, another approver has to be able to approve or decline the ticket
• When the user is on the leave, you would have a new custom field called PTO or something else - if the user is selecting Yes for someone who is on the PTO, ticket moves to the status of your choosing - you would need an automation rule for that
