Identify duplicate activities

Hello community.

I would like some help on how to identify duplicate activities based on the summary field or a custom field.

1. When creating an activity, automatically identify a duplicate field and prevent the activity from being created.
2. The second solution would be to automatically transition the activity to a state in my workflow, such as "Duplicate Activities," when creating an activity.

I would like some insight into how to implement one of the two solutions mentioned above.
