I figured this,
this been automatially assinged to My teammate(Luke) because he is a default assingee of a request type in my project.
No I changed it to myself, which figured out my issue,
Thank you.

Hi @jessyk , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.

You are saying that you are the Project Lead and you have configured the project configured like this

But a work item that is created is assigned automatically to someone else? This sounds like an automation. Can you please share some screens of the work item?

Normally in the History tab, you should be able to see if the Assignee was changed and by who. You are saying you don't see anything there?

Please share some more detail so we can help.

Best wishes

Hi @Valerie Knapp ,
Thanks for Jumping here,
I setup myself as a default assingee in a project,
One of our client created a ticket via email,
(I dont see any log history why this assinged to my teammate(Luke) by whom)
But after 1minute,an automation assinged the ticket to my teammate(JV)(which we are aware and good with this),

Wondering how can I check what changes were made by whom which is overriding the defaulte assingment.

Any inputs/instructions can be helpful.
Thanks.
