We are using Jira Cloud Software projects and recently noticed that the Linked Work Items view in the issue screen has changed.
Previously, linked issues were displayed grouped by link type (for example: related developments, related end user tasks, etc.), which made it easy for us to visually separate different relationships.
After the recent UI update, all linked work items appear in a single table view and the grouping by link type seems to be gone, so everything looks mixed together.
Is there a way to:
Restore the previous grouped view, or
Configure the Linked Work Items panel to group items by link type again?
Or is this change permanent in Jira Cloud?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi @nida ergenç ,
I've noticed this on a couple of our instances as well. I'd say it's a welcome change for me personally, but I see the potential painpoints compared to the old experience.
Now, the thing is - I didn't see this announced anywhere, and I've checked release notes (relatively quickly), but I didn't find it there either.
Potentially, it's just an experiment from which you can still opt out, but you could reach out to Atlassian Support to get final confirmation.
I'd expect this to be officially rolled out in the upcoming weeks, but again, no official statement has been made about this. 🤔
Cheers,
Tobi
