How to make custom field available on Charts and Reports widget?

Hi, 

I have created custom field for Jira Service project, type of the field is Version Picker. However, that field is not available on the list of the available fields when defining the widget on Chart and Reports?

Does anyone know how to pull this field on a list or maybe to do some workaround?

Which widget is it on Charts and Reports?  Most of them that use fields can only use certain types of field.

If your widget can use fix-version or affects-version, then it should be able to use a custom version-picker as well, but there is one thing to check with these.

Go to custom fields, find your custom field and use "edit details" - you will be shown name, description and "searcher".  Make sure this says something like "version dropdown searcher".

The widgets, gadgets, and reports all work off the field searchers indirectly (the searchers create index entries for them to work from)

Thank you for providing the answer. 

I have tried to pull that field as a column in the Table widget. I have checked in configuration, under Custom fields and yes, this option "version dropdown searcher" is selected and saved. 

Fix Version field can be pulled, I didn't need to do any additional setup for that one.

But my new custom field is still not showing on the list of available fields for the report column.

Which "table widget"?

Hey, I'm not sure that I understand the question so here is a screenshot. I though there is only one table widget under Charts and Reports in Jira?

I don't recognise that, what "widget" do you mean?

When you go to add a gadget to your dashboard, what do you select to get this thing?  There's no "table widget" listed in a standard cloud system.
