How to link an article to an issue manually?

Hi,

I am trying to link two articles that are already created in our knowlegde base to an existing incident before we close it, using the field "Knowlege base"

The problem is that when you are looking for the article in the field "Knowledge base":

It is not possible to click and related them to the incident. 

When you click on the article to "select" it, it opens in a new window. 

Is there anyone that has experience this and can help me?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!

First you need to link the confluence space with jira project. Go to space tools, integrations, and add a link of the project. 
Then on the issue go to three dots on the right top angle, and go to Link then choese, Confluence Page and add the URL of that page
