How to assign Inactive Workflow to a Project and Make workflow active.

Karishma Vallabh May 2, 2023

I have created a new Workflow that is currently "inactive" and assigned Scheme to the workflow.

Now in the Service desk project. I would like to replace the exiting workflow with the new workflow. What are the steps that we need to take.

Could not find anything helpful in the communitySnag_24134c54.pngSnag_24135992.png for this piece.

(FYI - I am in the company managed project).

Hi @Karishma Vallabh

Have you associated the workflow to the issue type in the Workflow scheme associated to the project ?

In case you have created a new workflow scheme also, maybe you need to switch the scheme associated to the project : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-issue-workflows/

Let me know if this help you

there is no workflow button under project setting, only issue types which indeed contain workflow editing but not importing, so this is outdated, im raising another issue
