How to anonymize a user in Jira Cloud?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to anonymize a user in Jira Cloud — for example, when a user leaves the organization and we want to remove their personal data, but keep their historical activity (comments, issue history, etc.) intact.

Is there a built-in way to do this in Jira Cloud?

Hi @Weronika Akonom 

There isn't really a way to anonymize a user. When they are deactivated, they will be marked as Deactivated user on all of the tickets they have been mentioned, their history will remain on their tickets. As for their personal information, since they are deactivated you don't have the access to id.atlassian.com where you can see all of their information and how it was shared.
