when agent receives the ticket I want to add groups in the assignee fields along with users and i want to asignee to groups or users .

The short answer is you can't. The Assignee field is a single user picker field. You can create a new custom field of Group picker type to add to your screen for visibility and clarity, but you can't change the Assignee field type.

@John Funk how about if we Create custom field and add Groups, Assignee by using Cascading option please see the screen shots below. could we get popup for the group-Groups and assignee-user names when we click on these?

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but yes, you could create a cascading field and do that. But it would not affect the Assignee field. Unless you had an automation that would copy the value from the cascading field for the second value to the Assignee field.
