How do I update my default incoming email server?

Vicki Stanfield

We use Jira Cloud. We recently migrated our email service to Microsoft Outlook. The existing default incoming email server is set up for POP but we use Secure IMAP now. How do I update these settings to get email to support@ourcompany.com to create tickets again? It doesn't appear that I can edit the existing default outgoing email server in Jira; it only offers the delete option.

I know we have to use oauth now, so I have created a new outgoing email server using the login for the support account using Microsoft login, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Hi @Vicki Stanfield

Are you talking about the email settings on a JSM project?

As Jira Cloud has no option to change the global outgoing mail server, only the option to disable outgoing email.

Actually, I meant to write incoming email server. I have corrected that in my question above. We did find the answer though. We had to go to the Project Settings, select Product> Email Requests and delete and re-add the connection to O365 for support@ourcompany.com
