Hi,
I've tried to find the answer to this question, but have come up blank.
I've set up notifications to my mobile phone an want to test that these work.
What's the best way to test this, without setting up a false ticket?

Hi @Paul Pogonoski

There's no dedicated "test" notification button in JSM, but here are the best approaches to verify your mobile notifications are working without polluting your queue:

  1. Create a test project: The cleanest approach is to create a separate throwaway JSM project (e.g., "Notification Test"), set yourself as the only user, and create a test ticket there. This keeps your real project clean.
  2. Trigger a real event with yourself as customer: Create a ticket via the customer portal using your own email — this triggers the actual customer notification flow to your mobile. You can delete or resolve the ticket immediately after.
  3. Check notification logs: Go to Project Settings → Customer notifications and review the notification audit log to confirm emails/notifications are being dispatched even without a live test.
