Hi community!

I have some Jira project Management boards and I'd like to see on the timeline view when an item has been marked as done after the set due date.

Right now it only shows the start date and due date, but not if it has been completed after the set due date so on my timeline it looks like everything was done one time, which is not accurate.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Sasha Inquimbert

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Right now, the Timeline view only visualizes the issue's start and due dates, so if something is completed late, that doesn’t show up unless you manually dig into the issue details.

I would suggest one of the below options:

You could use the "Resolved" field. Then, you can add that field to dashboards, filters, or even export reports for comparison

Another possible approach would be the use of Jira Dashboards or eazyBI (if available). If you need more visibility into on-time vs. late delivery, tools like eazyBI or even Jira dashboards with calculated fields (e.g., "Due Date < Completed Date") can highlight this gap.
