How do I remove a Slack channel from the list of request channels?

I'd like to temporarily disable the emoji react ticket creation workflow for a specific request channel. I can't change the emoji selection (make it something other than the ticket emoji), and I can't seem to be able to remove the request channel from the list via the Chat configuration in JSM. Can I just remove the Assist app user from that channel? Will that work?

I think I answered my own question - using the /remove command to remove Assist did seem to remove it from the request channels list.
