What do you mean? Are you trying to create a custom email request account (project settings > email requests)? If so yes I have done this successfully. Where are you getting stuck? If you mean something else please let me know.

I'm trying to configure a Shared mailbox to be monitored by Jira using a Service account that has permissions to the shared mailbox. I can create the Custom email, but Jira is not picking up the mails from it.

i have not tried using share mbox. have a look at this post to see if it helps - Connect-to-Office-365-mailbox. You might also use the search bar above an seek other threads in the Community.
