How do I add more information, like node name, to the alert description?

Currently the alerts sent by Jira are very vague and the user has to drill down to get any useful information.

For example, the current alert is being sent like this: Alert#63: Node is Down.

Is there a way to at least add the Node name to it?  Alert#63: Node Switch-1 is Down

or: Node Switch-1 Eth24 is Down

Hi @Ray Bailey welcome to the community!

I believe this depends on what the source the alerts are from and how it's integrated

For example my SolarWinds integration has a node name alert property, you  can find this by going to Integrations > Action ... (on the integration you want) > Edit > Incoming > Create Alert > ... Edit

Some documentation on alert properties: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/work-with-dynamic-properties/

I believe in our instance the node name is already configured to be in the alert message from SolarWinds so have not been using the alert property.
