How can I have different options in a custom field depending on request type?

There's a way in wich I can use one custom field (field type: select list cascading) and show some options depending on the request type?
I mean If as customer I enter to the portal and select a request type (A) and in this field I can see some options (1-2-3) and If I select another request type (B) that has the same field I can see other options (4-5-6)
Is that possible?

Hi Sofia,

you only seem to be able to define contexts for a custom field. That can be matched against Issue Types and Jira projects.

Please find further information here:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-custom-field-context/

As for the request types as a distinction it seems that no (easy) solution is available. At least not one that would be configurable - with coding there might be a way out of it. Unfortunately, there seems not to be something available right now.

Cheers,
Daniel
