Thank you for your question.
The logo dimension is limited and very fixed, for both site logo and project portal logo and despite of uploading different images, you will have always the same logo dimension.
Also for "my request".
The only alternative it to use a customized design, using some marketplace app, but it implies to customize the entire design.
