Group of Custom Field "Organizations"

Can we create a group of "Organizations" to be able to use in Reports and Automations? We are manually adding the Reporters to the rules at the moment?

Hi @William Porcelli,

There is no built-in concept in Jira to group organizations. An Organization itself is already a concept that groups customers / reporters.

JSM already allows you to set the Organization of a ticket automatically if the reporter belongs to one. So I am quite sure you should be able to:

  • run automations based on the organizations instead of individual reporters;
  • create e.g. a custom field with whatever you would like to define as a group of organizations. If that field is a select list, a checklist, a labels custom field or any other type that is not free text, you should be able to report on that as well.

Thanks for the response. Are you aware of the ability to create groups of Service Desk Customer ("Reporter") as an alternative. Again, so that we can use in both reporting and automation.
