Hello,

my company is currently running Jira Service Desk Server.

We are considering the migration to Service Management Cloud, due to the discontinuation of Service Desk Server.

Our biggest worry is that some day the service could quit, for any reason, and all our work completely lost. That's why we currently have the Server version.

We will not spend the big money necessary for the new Enterprise solutions.

So, my question is: once on Service Management Cloud, is it possible to download full db dumps for backup?

If so, then where can I find some documentation about how this is done and how exactly the dump is structured?

Thanks.

Nope, you have no access to the database behind the Cloud service.

You can get backups though, from the "backup manager" area in the admin section.  These are XML backups suitable for restoring an entire Cloud site (or you can extract a backup that can be imported into a Server or DC Jira as well as Cloud, but it won't contain any "team managed" projects you have)
