How to set up an exchange of comments between a client and a developer within a single task created by a client?

Hello @chepec81

If you don't mind using a plugin, the add-on Elements Copy & Sync lets you do just that.

Basically, you could have your developer work on a totally different issue (let's say, in a software development project) and comment there, and have all their comments be automatically synchronised to the task created by the client.

The advantage is that you developer does not have to "consume" a JSM license to dialog with the client, the add-on can synchronise the comments in both directions so that client and developer can speak to one another in their respective issues.

I'm the Product Manager of the app, and I would gladly answer any question you may have.

Kind regards,

Julien

The developer would need to be an Agent in the JSM project if you want them to be able to add a public comment. It really is as simple as that. If you don’t want the developer to be an agent they can make an internal comment and an agent can then make the necessary public comment on the developer’s behalf.

Thank you. And the transfer of the task from the client is carried out from the JSM using the clone ++ plugin?

I do not understand the need for an addon like clone++ here.
