Hello Jira team
I would like to ask and consult how we can integrate Jira into our app as a means to gain requests and bug/issue reporting from our customers throughout our App
I came across this video on the Jira widget and seemed can be one of the potential solutions that we are looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiLD4LbqoVI
A couple of questions that we wanted to confirm:
1. Is the widget free to use? or bound with certain fees/subscriptions only? Does it have limits given our current subscription plan?
2. Can we modify the UIs freely (e.g it seemed that the user needs to tap the `?` or `A Button`, we want to replace them with our own button)
3. Can we pre-fill the field, we plan to add/automate to fill in certain fields that are too technical and bothersome for a user to fill by themselves since we already have it as well(e.g user id, email)
Thank you
Best regards,
Kevin
Hi @Reynaldo Kevin Darmawan Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You can read all info about it here: Embed a widget onto a web page
Spoiler: It's rather limited. So, to answer your questions: No.
Hello @Dave Mathijs
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Yes I have read that page before, thank you for double confirms it
How about another approach, does Jira have APIs that we can use for the reporting function in our app?
So perhaps later we create our own form to be shown on our app
The user fills in and based on that information system will push to auto-create a Jira ticket based on the information filled in our form

Welcome to the community. This is Majid @ Exalate.
If you want to integrate any application with Jira, I would recommend using the REST API and webhooks to create a custom integration. However, this would be a intensive assignment and would require maintenance as well. If you are able to find a ready-made app like Exlate that supports the application you are trying to connect to, it would be a solution that works out of the box.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Majid
