Email Request menu item not showing up

I am trying to add ability to have tickets come in via email.

In the docs it says go to project settings and select "Email Request"

however I dont see that option - and I am an administrator

Hi Mark, Welcome to the community.

So first question is are you sure that this is a JSM project and not a Jira project? If it is JSM then it may be a Team Managed Project. If it is a TMP then you will see Channels under project settings.

oh thats a good question - im new to this and im sure im mixing up jsm and tmp - so i should make a tmp? i thought jsm was the one that connects to email? - i guess i should learn whats the different between tmp & jsm - a newbie for sure - thanks for reply!

oh sorry i see - i should make a jsm project and i probably made a jira project - ok i think im getting you
