Hi all.
I need to edit/block a user on Jira, but I can't see them in the general Jira user screen or in the project people list.
I can only see this user as a contact in open tickets.
How can I find them so I can block them? They are an incorrect, duplicate user, private and not company-related.
Thank you.
Veronica Salvati
See Users in Atlassian Administration, if the user is present there, remove the users permissions there and delete the user.
If you don't have enough permissions based on you role as product admin, you might need to get in touch with a user, site or org amdinistrator.
Hi Marc.
Thank you for your quick reply.
Unfortunately, I cannot find it among Atlassian users.
I can find the correct user, but I cannot find the one created with his personal email address.
Even in the tickets, I can only see the email address as the requester.
Thank you very much.

Hi then this use is not in your instance,
Where on the work item is this information set, and what is the information, an email address or ...
As the email address is only show, this means someone has added the email address in the work item.
This person can have an Atlassian account or not, but if this is a private one and this account is not listed as a customer or account, you can't prevent someone to paste this personal email address in a work item.
Can you show a screenshot

Hi.
I believe that the user has created an account on the work environment associated with their private email address.
I only see the email address in the “reporter” and "Creator" field of the ticket management system or in the “Raise this request on behalf of” field of the portal when I (the administrator) create a ticket.

If you see this as option, this has to be user in the system or as a customer.
It can be the the individual user set his public name the user profile to something else the the real name.
Do you have multiple JSM project in your instance, is the user set there as a customer?
IF you can't find this user anywhere, best is then to see if Atlassian Support, they could look at the backend of your instance.
