Is there a way to provide request edit permissions for the customers on a project?

Hello @Vera Valshonok

What problem are you trying to solve by letting customers edit requests that can't be solved by having the customer add a comment?

With only native functionality customers cannot edit requests that have already been submitted, but it is possible for them to edit Forms that are included with the request.

The work around in this article might meet your needs.

At the bottom it includes a link to a feature request to which you can add your vote.

Hello @Vera Valshonok

Customers in Jira Service Management do not have editable permissions like Jira users. Their access is controlled through customer permissions at the project level, not per individual customer.

You can adjust this here:

Project settings → Customer permissions

There you can configure things like who can raise requests, whether customers can share requests, or they can search for other customers but customers themselves cannot be given custom permission schemes or edit permissions like agents or Jira users. Their capabilities are intentionally limited to the portal interaction model.

I wish you a great Sunday ☀️
