I was wondering if deleting support tickets in Jira would affect my reports (i.e metrics)?

@wilson -

When you  delete or archive issues in Jira/JSM, they will no longer be in the system.  NOTE - Archived issues/projects will be removed from the search indexes in the DB, but the data is still available.  But, it will impact your metrics same as if you have deleted them.  Therefore, yes, your metrics will be impacted (i.e. Sprint Reports/Velocity Reports etc..).

Hope this helps.

Yes, it will.

I mean, logically, you delete data sets from the report basically, so of course, they will be affected.
