Difference between "Users" and "Customer"

Khuram Khalil

some context,

We have all our employees as "Users" in Jira across the board,

But 90% of them are only added as users so when they raise a request via "email" they are listed as "requestor" and we can email back and forth via the ticket etc

Is there a way to keep it the same but not have them as users?

Hey @Khuram Khalil

yes, you can simply have the 90% as JSM customers instead of usual JIra/JSM users. This way you don't have to pay for the 90% but only for the 10%.

You can find more information about JSM customers in the JSM documentation.

Hope that helps,
Matthias.
