I don’t understand the statement “external email addresses are not “. Please explain your issue further so I might be able to assist

HI,

Thanks for answering.

I will elaborate, i configured that whenever i receive an email to a specific email box a Jira issue is created (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/create-issues-and-comments-from-email/).

Currently, issues are being created only to incoming email address that have the same domain as the inbox email.

Example:

My email is support@justanexample.com.

All email that being received from @justanexample.com are converted to issues.

Email address that don't have the domain (@justanexample.com) are not being converted into issues.

Thanks!

Some things to look at…

  • default reporter - be sure you have an existing Jira user defined here
  • Catch email address - check if you have something set here that could explain the issue
