I have an issue type created against a single project, but I want to copy it across to multiple other projects, without having to amend the layout on each occassion - is this possible?  If so how?

Thank

Hi Keith,

You can't copy Issue Types or bulk change like that. You will need to edit the Issue Type Scheme for each project to add the new issue type. If you are using shared issue type schemes that utilize the same issue types, it will be must less work!

Hi @Keith Saunders

If you have more than just default configurations for Workflows, Screens and such, you will have to make sure the "new" Issue Type is properly configured in the other project's schemes.

So you need to add the Issue type to the other project first and then check the other schemes to see what else you need to change. I guess you need to associate the proper workflow in each project (reusing the one from the existing project) - same with Screens and possibly field configs.
