Copy the request Management

sankalp.khare October 27, 2025

Hello Team,

We need to copy all the contents from the Request Management section of the main project to the Test (anotherTest) project.

This includes Request Types, Forms, Workflows, SLAs, Customer Satisfaction settings, Work Item Types, and Fields.

Additionally, please ensure that any changes made in one project do not reflect in the other.

Hi @sankalp.khare

You can copy most of the setup by creating the new project with “Share settings with an existing project”. That brings over workflows, issue types, request types, SLAs, queues, etc. Shared config means both projects use the same schemes, so changes in one affect the other. To avoid that, go to Jira settings, Issues, clone the schemes (workflow, screens, fields, permissions) and re‑associate them with the Test project. After that, they’re independent.

For the rest:

  • SLAs: Use Project settings → SLAs → Import from the main project.
  • Forms: In JSM Cloud, you can copy forms to another project from the Forms UI.
  • CSAT & portal settings: These are per project—just configure them manually.

If you need full automation or cross-site moves, apps like Configuration Manager for Jira or Deep Clone can help.

Hope this helps!

Hello Christos,

Thanks for the answer.

We have already created another project. We need to copy the request management contents to the one created project. How can we do that?
