Controlling CAB approvals

Angus Beath
December 14, 2021

Hi team,

I've got change management in place, but occasionally one of my techs gets trigger happy. He's part of the CAB normally, but when he raises a Change Issue, I want to be able to lock him out of approving it. Not because he's naughty, but to make sure I get a chance to review the change prior to implementation. Is there a way to enforce this? i.e. Issue creator can't CAB approve a change?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Angus Beath

You can do this with a validator - you'd create one to check if the current user is the one raising the ticket and if so, they can't approve their own tickets.

Hi Jacob,

thanks! I used a condition instead of the validator and it works :-)
