We currently have a lot of mailboxes with our current helpdesk provider for addresses that don't actually exist as a physical mailbox on the mail server.
They are just anything we want on a catchall address.
For example, we could receive email to 12345@domain.tld and just have this forwarded to the helpdesk mailbox (and we could also send from that mailbox and it would appear to come from 12345@domain.tld also.
All our email is routed via Google as we're set up on Google Workspace.
I need to know if we can do something similar with JSM?
Our accounts department for example, use the email address accounts@domain.tld, we'd need to connect this as a custom email account and have any emails to our accounts department come through to that JSM project helpdesk.
Any thoughts or feedback welcome.
Yes, that is possible, you just have to set up a rule in Google that will forward your emails sent to accounts@ to the email address that your JSM project has. That is how we have it configured with aliases in Google that forwards to the email configured in JSM.
