They get this errorimage.png

Links to confluence knowledge base and Service Desk Management are intact since it brings up related document. Other service desks in instances are working correctly ... just this one project is having issue

Hi @Carla Ann K_ Rowland

Can you check if the page has a restriction in place or if the space this page is linked to has appropriate permission for the user?

These would be the first things I’ll check.

Note that though the page itself may not have a restriction, if it is a child page, restrictions from its parent may take effect impacting users being able to access it.

Check this and let us know.

I did check that and tried other knowledge base docs. but this team's pages are complex so I will have their knowledge base team review. If it is not an permission issue I will post an update here.

@Ismael Jimoh

Last Friday I re-established the links between the JIRA Service Desk and this Knowledge base.

What the Project Admin and I found out is that the knowledge base pages were pointing to the wrong Service Desk Portal in the URL.

We are running Confluence 7.12.5

Questions:

  • Why are the pages pointing to the wrong URL?
  • Is there a bulk update that I can do in confluence to fix this?

This is odd. I will check your application link as the 2 potential reasons that come to mind are:

  • You have 2 confluence instances linked to your instance and the default one doesn't contain the information,
  • A migration occurred at some point and either the URL of one of the application changed or something similar. It is hard for me to say.

To fix this, can you first check your applications links page in confluence to ensure that it is pointing to the right JIRA?

This will be where I start from.

Regards.

Hi did already check that. What I found out was the portal id was incorrect: confluence portal key wrong.png

So how do I fix that on a confluence page?
