Can you delete the action of opening the tab when you resolve an issue where you have to comment?

Is there any way, where you can delete the action of opening the tab after resolving an issue, here you have to comment on how you resolved it? I want a certain request type to just be resolved when I change its status to resolved without having to comment about it

If you take away the permission to comment, the boxes will disappear.

Problem with doing that in the permissions is that it will destroy all rights to comment, not just here.

What you could do is set a workflow property that says "when issue is in this status, people cannot comment", that would stop the comments on this screen, while allowing them most of the rest of the time, but it will also stop any commenting while it is in that status, which you probably don't want to do.

I would not actually bother to do either of these.  The comments box there is optional, if you don't want to make a comment, you can just ignore it!
