Can the Forms do calculation?

Gemma Huang
May 27, 2025

For example, I have a form and in this form there is a question asking for the likelihood of information risk and another question asking for the impact of the risk. The user will select answer from the following: High, Medium and Low. High = 3, Medium = 2, and Low = 1, if the user selects High for both questions. I want my form to calculate the risk score as 6 (i.e.3+3). Is it possible to accomplish?

Hi @Gemma Huang , Welcome to the Community!!

That's an interesting way to use Assets, @Tuarn McInerney !

Do you know how Gemma's problem could be solved without using Assets (e.g., if Assets aren't available)?

Hi @Gemma Huang

We have similar set up in our instance. Using Assets to host the matrix

And Each object is a different combination of the the two options.

Automation then simply runs and updates the required field with the required option. Works great for us.

Goodluck:)
