Can't delete new status from the workflow

Hi!

I have created another status in the workflow and then realized that I don't need it, Now I cannot remove it and receive a message: You can only remove statuses from inactive workflows. To start with this workflow and remove statuses, make a copy of it which will be inactive. You can assign it to the project when you're happy with it.

I am a bit worried to make ang assign to the project after as i have many automations an process in the project based on this workflow.

Not to risk I decided to keep the status that i don't use in the workflow just without any transitions added to it.

What are pros and cons of each h of the options?

Hi @Vera Valshonok

As you would make a copy of the workflow, all the workflow configurations would remain the same except for the items you would modify in the copy.

Are the automations somehow are linked to the workflow name? If not, i do not see any risk.

Happy to help if you have any specific questions that you might see as a risk

Are the automations somehow are linked to the workflow name? No but to the conditions and validators of transitions and approvers connected to the statuses. this should reconnect with the copy?

yes. The transition id/name/conditions/validator/screens etc remains the same in the copy (unless you explicitly modify)

That shouldnt cause any problem.
