Critical permission errors cause certain functionality of Jira Service Management to be disabled. The Service Desk Team role should not have Administer Projects permission. The Service Desk Team needs Browse Permission to be able to see the project.
To fix this you can click Fix permission. It could be that somebody has changed the project settings. See atlassian page: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/resolve-jira-service-management-permission-errors/
