Can a student switch to a different program after enrolling if they fail the entry test?

Hello Atlassian Community,

I recently sent an email inquiry to a university's international admissions office (welcomeoffice@unime.it). In response, I received an automated email invitation from an administrator titled "Admin Atlas" inviting me to join a team workspace called "supporto-unime".
After accepting the invitation, the system prompted me for a security verification code, which I successfully entered. I am now logged into the dashboard, but as an international applicant, I want to clarify a few things regarding this setup:
  1. User Role/Visibility: Since the invite message stated "invited you to join your team", does this standard wording mean I am added as an internal team member, or am I categorized as an external customer/portal user who can only view their own submitted tickets?
  2. Data Privacy: Will I be able to see only the specific email thread (ticket) I started regarding my university course switching policy, or does joining this "team workspace" grant visibility into other queues?
  3. Tracking Responses: What is the best way within this interface to track active updates from the university support staff on my open case?
  4.  Alternative Pathway Verification: I am currently preparing to take the IMAT exam for Medicine. In the event that I do not secure a passing score, is it legally possible for a pre-enrolled student to take the IELTS exam instead and use it to switch admissions to a non-medical field within the same academic cycle?

Hi @Umme rubab

The reply is not related to Atlassian itself, but to the Institute that uses Atlassian products.

You will have to contact the institute for further information.

But furthermore this institute is clearly using Atlassians Product Jira Service Management and the mail address you used is linked to a service portal.

This portal seems to be open to handle incoming mail request and that unknown people to the portal are sent a mail conformation to sign-up so that the created ticket can be monitored by the requestor (you).

Hello @Umme rubab

Truth be told, I don't know.

For clarification, you sent your question to the official Atlassian community forum, so all these questions should be directed to your university as we don't have access to this instance.

We can help you with questions related to problems or best practices, but not university-related questions, as they are the ones managing their Atlassian Stack.

Best,

Arek 🤠
